How does car radiator provides grounding to the fan switch?
In my car radiator, there is a thermosensor switch screwed into it, with a single wire connecting to it. This switch I believe is an open switch until the coolant reaches hot temperature, then it closes the switch, thereby grounding the fan's connection,
The coolant doesn't provide a ground. The big piece of metal bolted to the frame (aka the radiator itself) is the ground. I you look at the battery, you should find the negative battery cable connects to the frame.
