1984 Mercedes 190D diesel will not shut off!?!?!
I have a 1984 190D and it will not shut off... I'm pretty sure it's a vacuum issue with the shut off valve... but to turn it off i had to disconnect the 3 fuel lines under the hood! I know on some Mercedes diesels there is a manual shut off switch/lever...
To all the other answerers, sorry but this car does not have an electrical shutoff. It is mechanical. When you turn the key off, a hole opens up in the ignition switch and it lets vacuum pass through from the vacuum pump, to the shutoff solenoid. Somewhere
